AR2794 WL 22/12/2020

Here's my first capture of AR2794, taken on a choppy 28°C day in Brisbane.
I used a ND3.8 full aperture filter on my MAK 180 with a Solar continuum filter and IRcut filter with MY ASI120mm
Camera.

H - alpha setup
Lunt LS60THa Tilt-Tuned Solar Telescope, LS50FHa solar filter front-mounted Double stack etalon. 2 x Barlow
Remote etalon and focusing control's ASI290mm Camera

White Light setup
Skywatcher ED72 ,180 MAK,ND3.8 full aperture filter Homemade solar wedge, IR cut filter, Solar Continuum filter.


AZEQ5 Pro mount.

Darkside setup

Skywatcher ED72 , GSO RC6. Celestron Evolution mount

Very nice Martin. I can see some of the fine radial detail in the spot's penumbra in your images. I can usually pick out detail such as this only in really good seeing which has been rare lately.

I noticed the near vertical pointing altitude on the telescope.
Then I saw the round shadow on the ground.
Has Australia been moved nearer to the Equator? :cool:

Thank you all for your feedback, we are back to cloudy hazy skies in Brisbane. Hopefully everyone will get a chance to see this AR and the two small spots that are rounding the limb right now.
