One of Mark's images published from the past !!!

Post by EGRAY_OBSERVATORY »

On the post " CaK Full Disk and Polar Jets - 27th March by marktownley » Sun Mar 28, 2021 11:24 am " I have posted an archive image - published on SpaceWeather.com almost exactly 10-years ago...

I think a naming ceremony for this image - should be sent to Mark, as in the past other names have been given to prominences - as if looking like something....

Perhaps on this post you might like to name this one and possibly before looking at the aforementioned post to see what I have made of Mark's extraordinary/extra-terrestrial image on our Sun ???

All credits to Mark T...

https://www.spaceweather.com/archive.ph ... &year=2010 is still able to be viewed.

So Alexandra, I believed you have said that you are not very good at naming these objects, but please have a go, where clues are elsewhere in the Universe ???

Shouldn't you be looking at the day before? The link above to took me to the day after :)

I think NASA used Mark's image too if I remember right.

I thought it looked like a woodpecker at the time

Thanks Alexandra and yes the day-before/13-4-2010 which still showed the link of the 14th, so just the need to put in to see Mark's actual image posted on SW.com as the Archives - April 13 2010...

Well I know you have a love of birds, but as there was no clue about birds, sorry I can only give you 1 Mark out of 10... this time...
