Sun FD in H-Alpha 30th of March 2021

Post by arnedanielsen »

Dear all,

Here's a FD image of the Sun in H-Alpha from March 30th. Not much activity on the disc, but a nice large prominence.

Full size version

Equipment used for this image was a Takahashi Sky-90 II with SolarMax 90 and BF15 filter, Baader 35nm H-Alpha filter, 2x Cemax Barlow and ASI ZWO 1600MM PRO camera. Everything mounted on a Paramount ME mount.
Stack of the best 60% (805of 1342) images captured with an exposure time of 1.4ms, gain 0, HighSpeed=On and 22fps. Stacking done in Autostakkert 3, sharpening in AstraImage and contrast stretching in Adobe PhotoShop.

Best regards,
Arne
