28th April flare
Sunny and breezy but 4 arcsec average seeing on the SSM. I collected frames at 30 second intervals for 1.5 hours but noticed some activity on GONG right at the end so I caught a small flare which shows up on the X ray plot as B1.2 at 12.40GMT.
Pleased despite poor seeing!

Re: 28th April flare
That is a really great catch even if only a small B class, it looks like a solar burp

Re: 28th April flare
Thanks Alexandra, definitely a burp. The previous hour of frames showed no movement at all!

Re: 28th April flare
Think, that tiny burp is many times more powerful than the entire global arsenal of nukes set off at once!, even at the Cold War strength.
