I had a nice, sunny Sunday with good-to-average seeing.

...but a few hours later (I think it was the same one - it appears this way in the GONG archive) it became a bit more lively (same speed, 1:04 h total):

Interesting little sparks in the lower sunspot, but according to NOAA there were no flares there at the time.
Everything captured with PGR Chameleon 3 mono (ICX445), processed with Stackistry, AviStack 2, ImPPG & GIMP.
Hα: 90/660 mm refractor + Lunt 50 etalon, Barlow 1.6x.
CaK: 90/660 mm refractor + Lunt CaK B600 module, PowerMate 2.5x.
WL: SW Mak 127, Baader Astrosolar ND 3.8 + Solar Continuum filter.

Great set!!! You should try stopping the scope down to 60mm for the CaK, will sharpen these up considerably.

What were your exposure times for the prom animation and how long/frames did you use for each one ?
How much memory would you use for 1 hours imaging ?
Do you delete the video files after processing,and if not, how long would you keep them or do you just buy more and more storage ?

I have a particulary bright specimen of B600 (from my old Lunt 35; by exposure times, it was ~4x brighter than a B1200 I had borrowed for tests once), so I keep gain = 0. For the Hα surface videos the shutter time was 0.67 ms (histogram filled in about 75-80%) and 7.3 ms for the prominences (sometimes it's more for fainter ones), all at f/11.8. In all animations I was capturing for 15 s with 15 s breaks, giving 30-second animation interval. Some animations used a smaller ROI with higher framerate, so those 15 s amounted to 450-840 frames.
My camera is 1.3 Mpix (30 fps at full frame), so recording continuously would need 130 GiB/h. As mentioned above, the animations used 50% "duty cycle" and smaller ROIs, so in practice it was:
1) active region in Hα, dynamic prominence: 33 GiB/h
2) active region in CaK: 42 GiB/h
In total I recorded 240 GiB. No problem, as I have a 1 TB SSD in the acquisition laptop, of which >500 GiB is free.
After processing I keep only the raw stacks and 1-2 good videos (which are a few hundred MiB in size) of each set for future experiments. Since 2011 a 1 TB drive for all that has been sufficient.

Your imaging system is so much faster than the Quark. Good to know about your storage requirements are not exceeding 400 GB per day !!!
