05.14.21 Sun in Lunt50

Post by Ivan »

Hello everyone.

Today it is cloudy and windy, the visibility is good, sometimes terrible. I wanted to make an animation, but half of the stacks went to the basket, maybe I'll still try to put together a short video.

In the meantime, the sun is in Ha 14.05.21.
I am learning ImPPG, and experimenting with color and processing. I'm new to filming too, so I'd love to hear your tips and tricks.
30% of 1000 frames would have stacked less, but the quality of the entire video was very good, even rare for me.

Lovely captures. No technical problems left, I see.

Just one suggestion, for the second style of post-processing, I personally would manipulate the tone curve so that the background goes to black outside the limb.

My software:
Stackistry — an open-source cross-platform image stacker
ImPPG — stack post-processing and animation alignment

Ivan, Nicely done. The AR plages stand out well. I never could get them to " pop " like this.

Thanks for your comments.

Filip, thanks for your recommendation, that's what I wanted to do at first. But if I made the background dark, then small protrusions on the limb disappeared, as in the color version.

I am just studying your magic program, Alexandra recommended it to me. I think I will learn over time.

Maurits, James thanks for the kind words.

Ivan

Other than the red-coloured capture being a tad too-bright on both my screens (one slightly dimmer), these are excellent images, showing a lot of detail.

Thanks Ivan for sharing

Terry, I couldn't have done it without your help. I was just desperate, but thanks to you, everything worked out.

It should be doable; if you'd like to post the raw stack, I can give it a try and provide an ImPPG settings file.

Thanks a lot Filip

I posted it here: https://flic.kr/p/2kZ8BNX
Its size is 1.57 Mb. It would be great to see your processing option.

Thanks Filip.

It turned out very nicely. I see the settings file. I will try to persuade.
