Full disk CaK 22 May!

Post by VasilevIvan »

Hi All,

I'm have good news because i have received new CaK B1800 filter directly from LUNT. :hamster: Everything was OK with delivery and i took first photo yesterday, 22 May.

Setup: SW 80 ED, B1800, ASI 174 mm.
Soft: FireCapture, Avistack, AstraImage.

Only the best impressions from this filter. Perfect uniformity and contrast! I'm really happy!

I'm planning to use B1800 with TS 152. May be somebody know - would i need to use additional filter before TS152 or i can use this pair without anything?

Have a sunny week to All!

Best wishes, Ivan.

Very nice Ivan! I wouldn't recommend using a 6" f6 frac with a CaK filter unless you stop it down. You will need a suitable UV/IR filter sat some way ahead of the CaK filter acting as a sub aperture ERF else it won't take long to fry the Lunt.

Hi Ivan,
Excellent 1st light 1800 CaK capture Ivan and I would certainly agree with Mark T's comments above. Could be money down the drain !!!

In fact I'm not even sure that the extra light-gain from a twice the size-scope would benefit the quality as much as the excellent example shown here.

For close-up's with a Barlow might well be a better option, but that's my opinion

Well Done
Terry

Thank you Terry!

I'll try Barlow 2'' at first.

Best wishes, Ivan.
