May 25, 2021 WL, Ha Questar/Quark

Post by Astrophil »

Hi,

Today the little Questar went out for some sun time with a Quark Combo attached. A DERF on the front end, a 2.5x Powermate before the Quark Combo, a .5x reducer close coupled to the camera, and with no power applied to the Quark, the WL image was taken. The Quark was then powered up and the first Ha image was captured. Next the focal reducer was removed and another image taken. And finally, more for fun than anything else, a 5x Powermate replaced the 2.5x. At about f75 and 6500mm fl the 85mm aperture did its best.

Phil
