Session time is from 14:34 to 15:14 UTC. The skies are partly cloudy and the temp is 78F. The seeing is below average.
Coronado SolarMax II 60 DS. 16x, 21.5x and 33x. ( Ha )
I can see the two active regions AR12824 and AR12826 receding in the NW. I can also see the plage of AR12825 just above the discs center in the northern hemisphere. As far as filaments go I can see a line of three dark ones in the SE and another in the SW very near the limb. I also see a little grouping of tiny filaments above the SW limb filament. One very difficult filament was seen in the NE quadrant trailing off a prom located on the limb. GONG Boulder hardly shows it at all and I spied it visually in the scope. I later verified it on a GONG El Teide image. Now if only Rainer would observe and post earlier " hint hint " . I caught three proms today in doublestack. Two close together on the SW limb and one on the NE limb. Nothing spectacular. The mottles are easily visible.
Astro-Tech AT72EDII w/Altair wedge and 540nm filter. 23.5x, 47x and 71.5x ( WL )
I can see AR12824 and AR12826 in the NW closing in on the solar limb. I can see two large spots in AR12826. The northernmost one is almost touching the limb. I can see 4 spots/pores in AR12824, SDO HMI continuum shows 5. Like the ones in AR12826 the two biggest ones sport penumbrae. Both systems are surrounded by faculae.
Try as I might I could not see any evidence of AR12825 in the north-center area of the disc. SDO HMI images show 3 pores there. Seeing probably obscured them. I could only barely detect the granulation today.
Carpe Cervisi! It's Friday!!

Re: May 28 2021 Observations
Thanks everyone for your likes, thanks and comments.
Brian, we have had snow here at valley elevation in May but it's rare and melts away really fast. With the climate changing it's almost a thing of the past. We had much less snow overall here this year than what we usually get. I had only one snowlar observing day!
And just look how good Rainer did imaging that filament that I strained to see and that GONG barely picked up today.
Compare to the GONG image above! WooT WooT!!!
