Animation of AR12824 on the limb with horrible seeing

Post by minhlead »

Really bad seeing today (3/10) and a lot of passing clouds make the timelapse jittered. But it's still exciting to see things have a 3D perspective when the AR is on the limb. The burning prairies also look cool. Will do more limb animation if I have the chance. Turns out, when on the limb, inverted image is easier to process and seems to have higher contrast.Enjoy!

Very nice work Minh! Your animation really shows the Sun in it's living state.

Animations add a dimension to solar imaging. They bring the sun alive!

There's something very relaxing about seeing those spicules move like grass in the wind. Nicely done!
