Well, I jumped out of bed cus it was clear blue sky this morning, Saturday 5th at 7.45am out in the obsy and imaging in CaK. Managed to get the CaK FD and the new AR but cloud came in quickly as forecast. At least I got something, back in and shut up dome by 8.45am as rain is forecast, phew, lol.

Ella,
I struggled with clouds this morning too. I did far more waiting than observing. I am preparing to write up my report now.

I also ordered a Sky-Watcher AZGTI goto mount for use with my smaller solar instruments. This one will track unlike my current mounts. It should work with the Orion70, Astro-Tech AT72EDII and my Coronado SolarMax II 60. The bigger SolarMax II 90 and Celestron 102 will have to wait for a bigger mount like the Celestron AVX, etc.

Then I'll buy a Lunt CaK module! :-)

Sounds great James, I have the solarquest version which is great but don't use it now as I've triple mounted the solar scopes on my Neq6.

Nigella,
I considered the SolarQuest version but I intend also to use the mount for nighttime use with the AT72EDII so the AZGTI won out.
