Sun in Ha today 9.6.2021

Post by Petrus »

I was also very lucky to witness quick but majestic prominence during wednesday. This has been my first real season with solar Ha imaging. Years ago I had Coronado Solarmax II, but it was my Icarus wings. Photo with Lunt60THa ST and ASI178MM.

The Lunt 60 and the ASI-178 have along with yourself done a sterling-job in capturing this event so clearly and with the excellent processing too.

Thanks vm for sharing you first season's pic.

SassySun!,
You caught an eruptive prominence on the NW limb above a receding active region! I got an alert on my SpaceWeatherLive app in the early morning hours telling me an event occurred. A C Class flare. It may have been what kicked this up.

That's a very nice image. You caught it superbly!

And I have a SolarMax II 60. And a SolarMax II 90. Both double stacked.

Thank you everyone! I have always admired positive and supportive feedback on SolarChat. I assume this smaller shot was first part of the prominence, before full disc image. It all went so fast!
