AR2835 WL & Cak 04-07-2021

Post by Martin_S »

After over a week of rain and clouds I finally got to capture AR2835. I had a 30 minute window of opportunity before the clouds rolled over. Here are my best captures of the day.Imaged with my 102 f\10 refractor, 5x Barlow and ASI174mm camera. Filters - WL, homemade solar wedge, #58 green, IRcut. Cak, Lunt B1200 Cak module.

We have been in lockdown in Brisbane for the past 5 days and have been housebound, so I modified my remote etalon tuner on my lunt H alpha telescope. It's not the most elegant piece of engineering but it does the job.

Great images in the weather gap, Martin. Grey and stormy here.

The tuner looks great.

Thanks Stu, I'm amazed at what detail a cheap achromat can produce.

Martin,
Fantastic images! I only dream of being able to use f50 for my images...

The etalon tuner looks a bit more up market than my Vegemite lids!!
I did go with your idea of the micro motor and O rings for the second etalon.
