Sunspot bows out on July 6

Post by gabrieli »

The oppressive heat didn't do the seeing any favours today. I knew ahead of time that I would only use a moderate setup.
Despite the shortcomings, the final view (for me) of the sunspot was worth sitting in the heat for a while.

I've gotten quite a tan from solar observing!

Very nice images! That's a great last view of AR12835 and that tall prom came out sharp and detailed. I love the color you used on the final image and just look at those spicules!!

Very nice, Lou. Excellent images. There are lots of fine detail in the proms that you've captured beautifully.

I'm not sure that I can add anything more than James has said Lou.

So very well done and thanks for sharing.

These are really nice, the spot is fabulous on the limb and I love all the little plasma balls in the prom :bow :hamster:

Lou, this is the most beautiful prom I've seen. I'm very impressed, it's a hypnotic sight. Thank you.
