THE BIG ONE RETURNS on 19-7-2021

Post by EGRAY_OBSERVATORY »

:seesaw
Ex-AR2838 has returned in the far N.E.Quadrant at the limb today and the attached SDO hi-resolution image clearly now shows that enough activity could still be in the offing for the next few-days at least.

Awaiting to be renumbered as AR284(6) - WHICH HAS JUST BEEN CONFIRMED AS, but with apparently one, two or three-spots, is certainly worth watching/imaging...

So with currently AR2842 in the N.W. with 10-spots :hamster:
AR2845 in the S.W. with 4-spots :hamster:
and now AR2846 in the N.E. with 1/2/3-spots :hamster:

Then, cycle #25 is certainly well under way... :bow

CLEAR SKIES
Terry

Thank you Alexandra.
Although I have temporarily suspended imaging as such, whilst other astro-related projects are being undertaken, at least I get to see what is going on via the satellites and web-pages, especially with the fab images provided by SolarChatters, so whilst it is so hot, humid and nearby lightening threatening, I can sit back in comfort indoors with a big fan blowing away the cobwebs etc. !!!

I did at least manage to move way half a ton of top-soil to another part of my garden - earlier this morning, before the heat and sweat told me to stop before getting Sun-burnt too...

Cheers
Terry

You're welcome Maurits and Brian.

Close shave with a large lightning-area, within 1-mile, so now Sunny, Hot and Humid again after some heavy rain.
