Heads Up 22nd July.

Hi all, back from my sick bed, lol. Not fighting fit but back. Screenshots of todays activity. Great to see six AR's with spots in each.

Very welcome back Ella and trust you are now well over the snag and fit.

Today, your captures clearly show the current action across the disk and also another newbie spot area in the S.E. as AR2849.
Your prom capture also shows much activity.

Thanks vm for sharing

Terry

Glad to hear you are on the mend, Nigella, the Cak looks very interesting, nothing but gusty wind and clouds down here in Brisbane.

Great to see you're up and about, Nigella. The Sun certainly is becoming more active (and interesting) after the 'drought' of solar minimum.

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Terry, much appreciated. Thankfully not covid, had to take a test. On the mend, thankfully.

Hope your weather improves Martin, it's winter there isn't it, I don't like winter here, sun is low, more cloud and rain.

Thanks Maurits, much appreciated. I wasn't going to do any imaging because of still feeling a little yuk but the forecast was good still and I saw on space weather the sun now had six active area's with spot's. So I hauled myself to the dome, lol.

I did but accidentally deleted a completed post with all details. I wasn't happy! I was too ticked to redo it so I posted a basic post for today giving a very generalized description.

But it was a good session.

👋 I thought I’d say hello Nigella. You may/may not remember we exchanged a few messages via Facebook, where you kindly sent me a couple of images to show me the sort of details you can get with your Lunt. At that point I had a Coronado PST and was saving for a Lunt. The pandemic hit and furlough scuppered my saving and I caved in and got a Quark ready for solar max! I hear from Alexandra that you two tend to be the only females who share their images regularly on this forum and encouraged me to join in! The spots today are fabulous aren’t they. I enjoyed seeing your images above.

Great, it was a good session but so easy to make the delete mistake. I've done that with a complete imaging session, not a happy moment.

Hello again Nic, great to hear from you. Sorry to hear about you being furloughed, it's not been easy for so many people. Glad you got a quark though, nothing wrong with that. Looking forward to seeing your post's on here. Be great to encourage more females into solar, I just love it. I've expanded into triple wavelength observing during the pandemic with more time to spend on the hobby. Please do share your achievements and ask any questions you may have, if I don't know the answer, someone on here, I'm sure, will be able to help.

So sorry to hear you have been sick, especially when the weather has been good and so has the Sun, I hope you feel better soon. The discs look fabulous and hope the vitamin D has worked wonders with you too :bow :hamster:
