August 14th - Ha & WL FD Images

Post by MapleRidge »

Hi everyone...

A busy weekend imaging and still catching up on processing the collection of solar. deep sky, and planetary imaging that I have accumulated. I need an assistant to help with all this while I work

Limited time on Saturday morning, so I was limited to a set of WL and Ha full disk images. The WL was through the Orion EON130ED and Lunt solar wedge/Baader continuum filter, and the Ha was imaged with the LS80T/LS75FHa/B1800Ha DS Solar scope. Both used the ASI1600MM camera:

I managed to spend more time on Sunday morning...nice to see that big prom was still putting on a show!

Brian,

Your images accurately captured what was there. Nice work, as usual.

What a treat to see the big prom Brian :bow :hamster: I'm glad you got some Sun to see it :hamster: For more than a week it has been dark clouds and drizzle here, very miserable indeed. Also my computer is broken so I can't even catch up on my C11 solar data which I was just starting to get through. It is most frustrating :(

That’s an excellent Ha FD, Brian. Glad you found the time to image and share it.

Sorry to hear you’ve got a broken computer, Alexandra. I hope you can get it fixed without too much trouble.

It's going to take days, it is very depressing. Considering how long it took to get it working with all my cameras last year, it will be a days of wasted time. All because it did an automatic Intel update on Sunday morning. What a mess. I am out of the imaging game for at least 2 weeks and that is if the fix works. I can only use my work laptop for communications now.

Beautiful full disks, Brian. The large prom came out in great detail. Alexandra, sorry to hear about your computer, very inconvenient.
