hello Mark,
outside I can have a large clearance a small counterweight is enough.
but as you can see on the photo in my observatory, the eyepiece holder touches everywhere against the walls and I have to load the bottom with 4kg if it is the Pst, 5kg if it is the quark assembly.
This erf was loaned to me by a friend, who may be going to sell it to me, it's a shame not to use it on 200mm when it was made for a 255mm (maybe a Casssegrain the balancing would be Ok ).
