Hello Arne !

Very impressive work Arne. I would be grateful if you could tell me if the full disc in H-alpha was one single frame or a combination of more than 1 ??

Many thanks.

Magnus

These are really nice, Arne. The colored Ha image is absolutely beautiful! I also really like the colored Ca II K image too.

Thank you very much for your kind comments Mark, Marios, Stu, Alexandra, Franco, Terry, Magnus, Eric and James! Much appreciated.

This summer has been very productive. The unusually good weather and having to work from home due to covid has allowed lots and lots of solar imaging. Combined with all the excellent feedback, tips and tricks from this forum this have helped me improve my imaging skill significantly.

Magnus: The H-Alpha image is the result of a single recording with no mosaic and no combining of long and short exposures. For FD images in H-Alpha I usually record 1500-1800 images and stack about 60%. For low-res FD images I prefer to stack more images to improve the S/N of the fainter proms at the cost of slightly less overall sharpness.

Best regards,
Arne
