Dear friends,

Yesterdays FD images of the Sun in H-Alpha and CaK. Another day with lots of activity on our favorite star.

FD image in H-Alpha using a Coronado 60mm/BF15 w/Beloptik ITF, stopped down to 50mm, Baader 35nm H-Alpha and ASI 178mm mounted on a SkyWatcher SolarQuest.

FD image in CaK using a William Optics ZenithStar 61II, stopped down to 46mm, Lunt CaK 1200 module, Coronado 2x CeMax and ASI 183mm camera mounted on a SkyWatcher SolarQuest.

Terrific shots Arne :hamster: :bow the CaK is very interesting when you learn to read the full disc. There are regions of disturbance in the super granulation along the active bands. These disturbances occur around 4 weeks before an active region develops and many weeks after the decay of one. We can see lots of disturbances there, but we don't know if they are the ghosts of ARs future or past ;)

It's a single stack SolarMax anno 2008 with an upgraded Moonlite focuser and a replacement Beloptik ITF in the BF15 unit.
