Saturday Prom Animation

Post by Christopher »

Hi All,
It's been a while for me. I captured this late Saturday afternoon out at one of our club's dark sky sites. Seeing looked pretty good so I gave the 5X a try and things worked out fairly well.

Christopher,
You have really brought this prominence to life. Beautifully done. You should post more often. :-)

Thanks for the great comments all. I was rather surprised by the quality of the data given how close it was to sunset. I don't normally image that late in the day. I happened to arrive at the dark sky site early and had the Lunt with me so I thought I would give things a go. Glad I did!

On a separate note, it's nice to be back. My absence from the forums was not an absence from the hobby but an absence from imaging and observing. I decided to build a mobile astrophotography studio so committed all my hobby time to that project. I literally didn't touch my gear for 6 months. But the project is done and now I can get back to astronomy!! I appreciate the warm welcome back! :bow2 I missed you

I know what you mean Christopher about sometimes having to give-up on one-part of the hobby to concentrate on another part, as the same here and now I want to restart imaging, the clouds say otherwise.
