November 16 2021 Observations

Post by DeepSolar64 »

I just accidentally blew away all my typed in data for today's observations. I'll have to let the images by the pros speak for me today. Off to work I go. I did observe with the SMII60 and Orion70 and could see most of the details shown in the images.

It happens occasionally James, but your images show what I saw and successfully (somewhat) imaged today, as the first captures from the mini-obsy at last.
Will be posted in a few mins...

Cheers
Terry

Terry,
Today was a decent day. Warmer with slightly better seeing. I could see the solar granulation in white light.

I am glad the mini obsvy has worked out for you. I hope you did sodium today!

Thanks James and up until around 14:00z was quite clear and a little chilly, but was the first Sun-light for some-time.
I had just cleared the rest of the tooling for finishing-off some internal bits, so at least is now fully operational.

The camera mainly trialled today was the colour ASI-120MC-S, so I will borrow one of the mono ASi-178MM's from the Main-obsy as it did produce some good Sodium and WL images way back in around July.

Cheers
Terry

Terry,
It was up around 17C today. Much warmer than yesterday. Good luck on your Wednesday observations!

You still saw the sun James, which was more than me! It is clear today, but i'm at work and I leave before sun up and will be back after sun down. Hopefully the weekend will offer something in the way of clear skies.

Day work would destroy my solar work this time of year with the shorter days. I work second shift not going in until 3:15pm and that saves me! I hope you have clear skies this weekend, Mark.
