Sun of Nov 27th

Post by JohnW »

Nov 27th, SE Australia. A nice sunny day after a few days of cloud and rain. This single exposure image of the Sun's southern hemisphere was taken thru a Lunt 100 Ha scope using a Canon 550d camera. The active regions are numbered and some filaments and tiny prominences are also visible.
Thanks for viewing. Cheers John W.

Thanks John for your excellent and named southern disk half, which well shows those long filaments too.

Thanks for sharing

Thanks everyone for your comments. Looks like activity on the Sun is picking up. A lot seems to be in the southern hemisphere. Cheers, John W.
