AR12887 on Oct-28 2021 ARIES DERF+SW150mm F/5 + QUARK

Post by Valery »

Hi all,

This cloudy evening I have some time to process a well belated image of the AR12887 which I have captured Oct.29 2021 with SkyWatcher 150mm F/5 refractor equipped with a full aperture ARIES DERF, 2x NPZ Barlow lens, QUARK Chromosphere, GSO 0.5x reducer and Basler 1920-155 camera.

The seeing was mostly poor, but I was lucky to catch some seeing improvements. This photo was taken during such a moment.

FireCapture 2.6, AS!3, AstraImage 3.0 were used for image recording and processing.

Thanks for looking.

Valery.

Excellent results Valery! How do you find the NPZ barlow performs?

This 2x barlow performs well in this setup. Didn't compare with other Barlows.

Great image Valery

Did you use flats with the Quark. I noticed that my Quark Chromosphere is getting worse every day. I have to use flats all the time

Yes, Pedro, I have used a Flat (build in the Fire Capture option). However I did this to correct the vignetting and to get rid of the dust particles shadows.
