NEW YEAR's DAY NEWBIE AR 1-1-2022

Post by EGRAY_OBSERVATORY »

Well with a start to 2022's part of the Solar Cycle #25, AR2923 has emerged just below the massive AR2916 in the far S.W. region. :hamster:

Whether it, with its' five smallish spots (at datum) will produce any significant-activity before leaving the S.W. Limb is really a hope, but judging by other Western Limb flares, anything could be possible... :?:

Proms are few and far between, but still interesting, but that will change - sometime...

So with my first report of 2022, i wish all readers a H.N.Y.

Terry

Thanks Eric and even though a 5-minute glimpse of the sun today, still too low for the mini-obsy, so at least am following the data and passing-on - which you have seen. Quiet weekend here..

Thanks vm Alexandra and the same to you...

Lucky you James on your sightings. Thks vm

Terry
