Finally some sun! 1/3/2022

Post by rigel123 »

Clear skies and cold temps (25F/-3.9C) for this mornings run. Seeing was quite variable but settled down a bit before noon to capture the 30 minute in real time animation of the lovely prom on the NW limb. Some nice plasma rain in that one. Image was rotated 90 degrees CW for viewing.

Thanks Franco and Brian! Todays skies have a bunch of high clouds and jet contrails, but the sun is shining!

25F! You got some cold weather imaging in! Despite the cold you did well.

Thanks James, I think I was inside more than outside since the Hinode Guider made it easy for the animation and I didn’t need to babysit the mount!
