TWO NEWBIE AR's NEAR THE EASTERN-LIMB 4-1-2022

Post by EGRAY_OBSERVATORY »

Well as James correctly said, that a "Calming" Sun was in the offing. :(

But not entirely, :band as this morning/4th January, two new AR's are showing spotty activity in both the N.E. & S.E. - near their limbs...
Not too-exciting as yet, but who knows, at least might produce something over the next few days... :bow

Some interesting prominence activity is also included here from the SDO satellite..

CLEAR SKIES
Terry

I saw those yesterday, well the SE one, I need to look more closely if I saw the NE one as that is a bit small and the seeing was bad. Let's hope they grow :)

Thanks Stu and Alexandra.

Yes Alexandra, the N.E. one seems to have disappeared and the newbie in the SDO image is now AR2924 IN THE S.E. as of 5-1-2022.
There may well be another AR following 2924..
