Sun January 16, 2022 on a very cold day !

Post by ffellah »

Hello all: this morning at 7:00 was 9 degrees, I waited until it warmed to 18 degrees for a quick session. The sky was clear and seeing not bad. Only few Ser files for a quick view of the sun showing nine ARs. This was my coldest session ever.

Franco,
I love your CaH work. I have a considerable interest in CaH/CaK work. Visually I would have to use a monitor I think to see it. Magnesium and Sodium are nice too.

On daytime solar you have me beat. 23F is my coldest. Nighttime is much colder!

It was nice seeing you during the meeting.

James

Cold indeed, Franco. Great results, so worth the effort in freezing conditions.

Great CaK images Franco :bow

Glad you could endure the cold and get your images. Any wind in the open makes the cold bite right into you!

Thank you very much Ivan and Arne. Yes, I knew it was extremely cold and prepared for it. Fortunately it was in my front yard, only steps from home and a warm coffee.
