Quark mod into combo
hello
Did anyone already looks how to mod a quark into combo?
Andover 656.3 Å 1 nm would most probably be needed, but how to remove telecentric?

Re: Quark mod into combo
Regular Quark will work like a Combo (or even better) if to use it with 0,5x reducer.

Re: Quark mod into combo
Yeah, the whole black lens assembly just unscrews out of the quark body.

Yes Valery I have tried this and it works well
but what would screwing off the lens assembly do for you? (its a different approach)

Mark - still not precise enough
is the whole black part attached to the upper red part removed or
the inner 1.25 inch black stem?

No! All what is before the red cylinder is removed. Only red cylinder and 1.25" visual back remain in use.highfnum wrote:Mark - still not precise enough

Re: Quark mod into combo
once more do we remove the black lens
or remove the black lens + add a 0.5 reducer
or add a 0.5 reducer in front of quark
If we talk about the 3rd option, I tried : picture of the sun is nice but full of dust and picture of kind of broken piece of glass. I mean there is superpositoin of a focus sun + focus dust fromthe quark...
