Mirror coating for Hα reflection

Post by GreatAttractor »

Last spring I was in talks with Alain Badoche from MCM regarding an "ERF" mirror coating for Hα reflection (like the one in Alex Lhoest's big Newtonian), but I was unable to contact him since.

Does anyone know if another company does this kind of coating (for a cost not exceeding an equivalent stand-alone ERF, of course)? I have a nice 150 mm quartz f/7 mirror waiting...

I've got a response from Alain. Unfortunately, at the moment there are not enough customers with mirrors for him to run a coating batch. I'll keep you posted.

UPDATE:
Of course, if anyone here would be interested in getting their mirror(s) coated, it would be great!
Let me recall Alex's excellent images from his 10" Newt: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=17910
