Airylab Hat review

Post by Robert Henry 1355 »

Hello-
Would like to know reviews on Airylab HaT solar scope. I see that Airylab is possibly going to have one setup at NEAF this year.I will be there to hopefully check it out for purchase.I see Mark T. has one or looked thru one (hey,Mark, what do you think).
Thanks,
Bob

Visually,I have a Quark and use it with a Lunt Engineering 102mm ED f/7 scope for high mag. and high resolution visual views. Wondering if HaT gives similar views.

Bob: there was an HaT review in the Sky at Night magazine. You can ask Frederic about it.

Hi Bob,

Yes I have the Airylab HaT, it is a super Hi Res scope, I was really pleased with the results I got with it last season. Lots of pics from it on my website. If you have any specific questions ask away!

Mark

Hi,Mark-Thanks again for your Reply! Can you compare the HaT with the Quark Visually? Your thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Hi,Eric-
Frederic stated that he will be using his HaT with a Solar Spectrum 0.3A filter. That would be soooooo Cool!
Hope to see you there as well,
Best,
Bob

Yes, it rocks! I use it with a quark, lots to see. My favourite eyepieces are a 32mm and 25mm with this setup.

I'll be at the NEAF indeed with a Solar Spectrum 0.3A and a HaT. A gentleman there will lend me some space on his AP1100 :)
I hope that the weather will be fine.

Hi,Eric-
I will be at NEAF depending on which day is sunny! I only live 45 minutes away.I hope Saturday and Sunday will be totally sun lit,but would prefer Saturday. The first day is always full of energy from all who attend (vendors, people, etc).Sunday, the vendors look a little winded from Saturday (LOL)and pack up earlier than Saturday.I will not be attending NEAIC unfortunately.Hope to see you at the Daystar booth at 11am Saturday.
Best,
Bob

No just the NEAF, then this is NY shopping and visit with Madame.
Yes you'll meet my spouse as well. She does not work for Airylab being a nuclear physicist, but she help me willingly :)
