I had the pleasure of visiting the Astronomical Society at Albury/ Wodonga last week, and assisted in their outreach program in the main street of Albury.
We had two PST set up and over the period attracted >30 observers....
I was interested in the differences between the two very well used (!!!) PST. One was an original PST with a "Rusted" objective and the other was a later "Blue" objective.
I have to say the etalon (good bandwidth and tuning) in the "Rusted" PST was much better than the other (which I think also has probably a failed ITF)
Interesting........

Yes, the PSTs i've come across have had better etalons in the older models.

My experience showed that etalons in very old PST with IR coated (and rusted) objectives are MUCH worser thanmarktownley wrote: ↑Mon May 08, 2017 5:44 am Yes, the PSTs i've come across have had better etalons in the older models.
in the PSTs with blue objectives, but which have been made about 6-8 years ago.

Derek,
You should go... it's good for the soul.
It's interesting to hear the WooooooW's and listen to some of the questions/ comments.
