Omega 656.3 H Alpha 0.15nm filter as a DS eyepiece filter.

Post by soulvagabond »

Hello everyone.
Since I have read the post https://www.cloudynights.com/topic/5823 ... ?p=7966901, I'm really tempted with the idea of trying it out on my Lunt 50. Sadly, the poster did neither uploaded any photo proof, nor answered my private message to him.

My main question is, which of 2 similar filters, would be a better choice, in my case:

Normal Incidence (doesn't require any tilt, to be on band): http://www.ebay.com/itm/Optical-Interfe ... 9#shpCntId

DP mounted (requires 1-3 degrees tilt): http://www.ebay.com/itm/Optical-Interfe ... 488f8ae32a

Another question, would mounting it right behind the Lunt50 ethalon (which is also around 25mm) could be a better solution?

Thanks!
