The Sun is very quiet now but what can be seen in it's schormosphere through a larger aperture?
A lot of mini-activity can be seen!
This photo gives you an idear what can be imaged with a 280mm aperture.

Yes, Dave, this is absolutely true. With telescopes 150mm and larger I always see a lot of short living features like small black filaments (these are small eruptive prominences) which change quickly and quickly disappear. Small potential mini flux areas, small prominences at the limb here and there with fast evolutions.
And the limb activity through C8 and C11 is absolutely fantastic if the etalon is OK and seeing supports (morning time).
I will look for more such activity I have recorded on a blank sun.
