Hi everyone,
Way to busy of late, and despite excellent weather my mount has been misbehaving too. Anyway, got a bit of time on Saturday morning so fired off a load of exposures on the grounds that one of them would be the best. Here it is with the 203mm Airylab HaT and the Daystar Sodium Quark using a Baader 0.7x solar telecompressor with my IMX249 chipped PGR camera. Just a random shot mid disk.
The view is subtly different than white light with those little dark loops visible again:

The invert view is an interesting ones - it highlights the intergranular regions:

I want to hopefully get some shots of the decayed active region that has just come around.
Mark

Excellent shots, Mark. They give an idea of what is possible. The granulation came out very well. That you for experimenting for all of us !

Interesting experiments with the sodium filter, Mark. Beautiful granulation.

Hi Mark,
Thanks for the experimentation.
These dark patches are quite peculiar. Interesting.
