Heya,
It was cloudy today, and seeing was poor, but there were moments of good seeing between clouds passing, so I stuck out and glad I did, as I got some decent data this morning. I worked the 6 inch refractor this time at two scales, with a 0.5x focal reducer and without as seeing allowed. Then switched to white light to do convection cells with the 6 inch using a near UV filter. It's a pretty void solar disc, but with a little more aperture there's always something to see, even in white light.
Equipment:
Scale 1: Celestron 152mm F8 Refractor + 210mm 2" Extension Tubes + Baader UV/IR Cut Filter (ERF) + Daystar Quark Chromosphere + GSO 0.5x Focal Reducer + ASI174MM Camera
Scale 2: Celestron 152mm F8 Refractor + 210mm 2" Extension Tubes + Baader UV/IR Cut Filter (ERF) + Daystar Quark Chromosphere + ASI174MM Camera
Scale 3: Celestron 152mm F8 Refractor + 115mm 2" Extension Tubes + Baader Blue CCD IR-Block Filter (ERF) + GSO 3x Barlow + 370~395nm Pass Filter + ASI174MM Camera
