AR2738 Ha and CaK

Post by Carbon60 »

Quick session after work in CaK and Ha. A flaring AR2738 made for an excellent target :) Despite blue skies the seeing conditions were only average making it a bit tricky to get rock solid images.

First up FDs in CaK (Lunt B600 module/CaK-Line/Omega).

and in Ha (DS 150mm/Lunt 35 mod)

There were some excellent proms on show also.

That's a really good set Stu! They came out very well. It was clear here today but I wasn't back until after 7 so missed the evening sunshine.

Nice! And beautiful HR CaK! Did you use LR and UM? I used Christian's advise to use only UM. 1,3 - 8. It works for me.

Great images Stu. The CaK images show a wealth of interesting info (I know little about that wavelength), I like them! A rather strange looking prom nicely presented and the Ha images show good detail with no sharpening artifacts unlike some posted.
Thanks for showing them,

Phil

Hi Bart, yes, I found the same. Minimal LR deconvolution, relying more on sharpening in the case of CaK.
