Weather has just been great of late, or, of poor timing, and have not seen any sun for a while. This morning I woke to blue skies and decided to grab some shots before work. I knew the are of the active region from rotations back was heading geo-effective so happily went outside with the Lunt 50 etalon for a full disk with the 2x cemax barlow and FLIR GH3 916M camera.

The filaments and disturbed plage an indication of the magnetic turbidity from this active region that has been with us for some time. I popped the quark on the above setup, ditching the barlow and using 2x2 binning to get a double stacked closer view of the region of interest,

Will it be clear tomorrow? who knows, will have to wait and see. Enjoy.

Re: Thursday Morning Sunshine 6th June
At least there are some lovely filaments still on show in these active regions we knew they couldn't keep going on forever
Great to see you could make use of the lovely clear sky yesterday morning. Weather in Cheshire has been terrible for ages now, rain rain rain. Looks like more rain for the weekend
