Very nice, Alfred!
Too bad there is no good sunspot on the sun disk these days.
Valery.

Hi, Alfred
I'm glad you're finding interesting features on the disk.
Do you use your PST etalon at f/10 and then use a barlow or do you use an amplifying telecentric on the scope and then the PST etalon?
Lou

Great shot for the conditions Alfred. Lou asked exactly the question I was thinking of there...

Re: H-Alpha close-ups on 6 Sep
Thanks Valery, Jack, Lou, Mark and Franco for your kind comments and encouragement.
Lou and Mark: I used a PST etalon at f/10 followed by a BF and barlow as shown below:
Jack, I did very little for the post processing. Basically I applied an unsharp mask after some contrast adjustments in Photoshop on an image that was processed in AS!3 and ImPPG.
Cheers.

Re: H-Alpha close-ups on 6 Sep
I should probably add, that Alfred did only a very mild processing of the image. I took a freedom and have processed this image more deeply. A lot of more detail jumped out of the image!

Thanks Eric and Marty.
Valery,
Glad to know that post-processing can bring out all the details that are captured in the video recording.

Re: H-Alpha close-ups on 6 Sep
Very interesting post Alfred, I need to make a PST mod for my C11 this winter but I have no clue how to do it. I guess my first purchase needs to be a PST
