Prom Oct. 11 Questar/Quark Combo

Post by Astrophil »

The temperature was slightly cooler in Florida this morning and made for a comfortable imaging session. The little Questar and Quark Combo got me closer to that nice prom than the PST could. A 2.5x Powermate with and without a focal reducer was used with a Grasshopper GX camera.
Here are three shots of the prom. I could not find any surface features to post.

Phil,

I viewed this one visually today too. I like the color of the last picture. Probably because it is a bit closer to the color as seen in the eyepiece. That little Questar does very well. But they were always very high quality instruments.

Thanks guys.
The Q/Quark combo has limitations but is easy. Light weight (one hand carry) and no tuning, just plug in the battery pack. Too bad there's no easy double stack available.
