animation on our star on October 16th

Post by banjo »

Hello,
it's not the animation of the century, but be really fed up with this sky of Sh.. (since September 20)
many aircraft trails that dilute as they spread out and form a permanent cloud.

It is always a joy to watch animations of prominences. No matter how hard I look I can never see the plasma moving up, always down, so where does the plasma come from if it is always down :)

Hello,
Thank you all for your messages.
I love your pictures, but I'm afraid to comment, my English is totally Googletranslator and I write too much nonsense.

Lovely animation, Paul. It's always fascinating to see solar dynamics in action.

Isn't it invisible in narrow band because it isn't emitting in hydrogen alpha?

Amazing images Paul! The animation is mesmerising!

What is this "internal glasspath"? A Barlow lens?

Is it a commercial unit?

Thanks

Don't worry about the glasspath information. I just found your thread:

Great job, Paul. Unfortunately I missed it. It has been either raining or blanketed with clouds everyday over here.

Hi Paul...

Really great piece of animation...well done :bow

Sorry to hear that the condensation trails from the jets causes so much grief...hope you get better conditions.

Don't worry about the translation...its far better than any attempt I'd make going form English to French ;)

I have a question for you, Paul. How do you black out the solar disk in an animation ? Do you use Corono ? I assume you want to block the disk images with batch processing...

Thank you,
Franco
