22.05.2020 Short lived filament.

Post by Rusted »

I took advantage of early, steady seeing to capture the disturbed region in the Solar northern hemisphere.
A prominent, dark filament on the northern edge steadily shrank with each capture. Times indicated on each image.
All images using T-S 1.6x GPC and cropped.
It is now completely overcast!

Heavy overcast here today as well.

You made the most of the limited window it seems. Looks good!

Nice capture, Rusted! It's so cool how the sun changes in so short of a time. Features come and go and change sometimes in mere minutes. It makes the sun unlike any other object in the sky.

These are lovely Rusted, such lovely detail :bow :hamster: we have such terrible gales I wouldn't dare take out the telescope, you can barely stand up and most of my lovely garden is ripped to shreds :(

Thank you all for your encouragement. :bow
Your own artistry sets ever higher hurdles for me to aim for.

Stay safe! Stay indoors AND do solar imaging?
You'll need an observatory for that. Hail and gales permitting. ;)
One day I might even finish mine.
