Sun in Ha and Ca II K, May 20th-Updated.

Post by Carbon60 »

Another lunchtime session and the new cycle 25 region is looking spectacular, as is the hedgerow prom just around the limb.

Ha and Ca II K images were taken on my 150mm/DS Lunt 35 mod and Tecnosky 125mm respectively.

First up the prom in various formats.

and then the active region....

Over to the blue end and the active region in mono and colour. The conditions weren't really up to hi-res, but what the heck.....

I think tomorrow will be cloudy again, and maybe through the weekend as well.

Thanks for looking.

Stu.

Beautiful set, Stu.
Your H alpha processing is superb and the proms are amazingly sharp.
Nicely done.

Hi

Could you please re-sample the coloured view of the hedgerow prom, or caterpillar rather then the worm I called it, to be 72x to match my visual magnification so I can compare like for like.

Thanks. Andrew.

Very nice results, Stu!

Especially high res in Ha.

Last CaK image is quite promising too.

Beautiful rework and nice view of the 2nd AR, Stu.
You didn’t do my favourite combination, though.....normal proms with inverted disk!
Cheers.

Thanks Alexandra/Mark,

The infection seems to be cooling down a bit now with the antibiotics. Still sore, but at least I can open it now. :)

Your images are always perfection Stuart :bow

Glad to hear about the eye improving, it was a coincidence that just the previous night we had watched Yorkshire Vet on TV and there was a rabbit with bad eye infection, I won't say what happened to him ;) but I am glad you are getting better :hamster:

Sorry to hear about your eye. Glad to hear things are improving. Not a great time to be interacting with health services.
All the best.
