Please contribute to our 2020 Charlie Bates Solar Astronomy Project/Sunlit Earth fundraiser! Our goal this year is $15,000 in 30 days. link -- http://PayPal.me/cbsap
We inspire people to get in to nature and science through internet sources, public hikes, equipment distribution, sponsorships and general all around good-deedism.
We postponed our fundraiser for 3 months due to COVID-19 but have to go now in order to keep the nonprofit in business.
All donations are tax-deductible in accordance with applicable law.
We need everyone to dig deep this year with one time or monthly donations through PayPal.
Thanks in advance, we can do this!
Come join us! Here is a page with details.

Re: 2020 CBSAP/Sunlit Earth! fundraiser officially started.
Attention birding friends, astronomy friends, photography friends, sponsorees, like minded people, local friends, air traffic controllers, facebook friends...
I don't know about you but I've had way more than enough of people/media/politicians, etc... concentrating on the things that divide us as a species. We have exponentially more things in common as human beings than the constant bickering that has everyone fed up, polarized and hiding out.
The Charlie Bates Solar Astronomy Project is named in memoriam to my friend, fellow veteran and fellow air traffic controller Charlie Bates who took his own life in 2007. He was not an astronomer or photographer, just a friend who would do anything to help anyone he could without judgement or question. His altruism, which I try to emulate, was a great influence on me and I wanted him to be remembered in a positive way.
Our nonprofit STEM program spreads the beauty and science of our natural world around us in hopes that people will learn and share with others. I have seen people achieve great things and explode with enthusiasm countless times from just a little bit of encouragement and help from others. It is an amazing thing to watch as it spreads out from these people to others and eventually has a significant effect on the community. We have done this in the US and 27 countries around the world since 2008 through our program.
We need your help to maintain our nonprofit for another year in these very difficult times. Science nonprofits have seen donations across the board drop more than 70% since 2016.
Im asking each of you to donate something from $10 to $10,000 in an effort to keep our program alive. We do good things and don't waste any resources but I can't do it all alone.
