Almost missed this little active region, noticed it right before packing up. Had a nice little faint prom near it as well.

Thanks! And that's a great question, I'm not really sure. I don't pay a lot of attention to my camera orientation or the final orientation of my images, so I'm not a good person to ask, lol.

Hello Ammonthenephite, excellent images - thanks...
I have been monitoring the progress of the AR which is in the far SW quadrant as I speak.
There are now two small Sunspots in that AR and SDO have shown an image as such.
According to spaceweather.com, if this continues as such then it will likely be named as AR2766 of the 25th Solar cycle, so not only watch this space, but watch that AR before it disappears over the edge...

That's a gorgeous image, it does look like the western limb and the new active region though

Hi,

Great close up of that disppearing spot. In this case you just need to mirror your image in the horizontal axis.
