Prominences June 28th, 2020
Hello everybody: I went out this morning with the intent to observe only as the chromosphere is now very quiet. I was pleasantly surprised to see that there were a number of prominences, one of which was large and complex. A quick session followed: the seeing must have been good, as the jetstream was very favorable (none !). Very humid and muggy weather, though, starting at 82 degrees in the morning (30 Celsius) and going up few degrees more few hours later. I used the Solarmax 90mm SS and a PG Flea 3 3.2Mp camera.
Hope you had a good weekend too imaging the sun.
Franco

WoW Franco. That prom looks very close to the same as I saw it. That scope looks really familiar too!! I love the eclipse-look to your limb shots as well. The seeing at my location in western North Carolina was really good too.

Thank you, Alexandra, greatly appreciated. I have not figured out the Solar Spectrum/ HaT combination for prominences yet. Hope to explore it in the near future.
