Software for focuser

Post by willisobservatory »

Newbie here. Thanks for your help.

I have:

Lunt 152
Basler acA1920-155um Ace - IMX174, 1/1.2", C-Mount, 1920x1200, 155fps, Mono
Starlight Instruments Electronic Focusing system with HSM 20 (Handy Stepper Motor)

What software do you recommend to use with Starlight focuser to focus the Lunt for imaging?

Hi Newbie,

Normally all focusers work via ASCOM nowadays and this is then driven by the software you use for acquiring your images.

So you need to decide which software you want to use for getting your images and worry less about a focusing software.

;)

Good to hear, but SkyX is a planetarium software or does it also have the ability to acquire images and videos ?

I guess Starlight has an ASCOM driver for their focuser.
