Hello all: after seeing all the magnificent images posted, I could not resist not imaging these two sunspot groups before they reach the limb. I took a half hour this morning before work. Seeing was not helping, as we just had a storm last night over southern New England, so lots of humidity in the air and warm weather. I tried using the sodium Quark, as it seems a bit less sensitive to seeing conditions.

Franco,
I have always liked the Sodium D line images. They often seem sharper and more contrasty than similar continuum images. I read that they capture the transition layer between the Photosphere and lower Chromosphere and adds a bit to the detail seen in continuum. I think Helium gives a similar view.
I hope to see you image in sodium more often.
