My version of the eclipse in Ha and WL

Peak (partial) eclipse had already occurred at sunrise and a bank of clouds hugged the horizon. Through the telescope, the low, flat clouds made the Sun look something like Jupiter. Seeing that close to the horizon was, of course, awful. I was able to sneak in a couple of shots. I was surprised to see tiny spots in the active regions in WL.

The seeing improved some over time, but never got good

That's really beautiful Bruce :bow :hamster: what I like about the top picture is the mountains on the Moon. I've never seen this before as I have only seen a partial through a very small scope and most images I'd seen on the web were stacked. This makes the moon very smooth, and yesterday was the first time I noticed these mountain bumps for myself. So I really like your first shot.
