Been setting up and "tweaking" the new meteor detection and recording system. Previously I had to manually scan through around 90 screenshots per hour of operation to check for meteors and then add the numbers to Google Sheets to produce graphical results. I'm now using the "Echoes" program to "observe" and produce heatmaps similar to Colorgramme. Below is my heatmap for the Arietids with an interesting result. In comparison to last year and the "old" recording method, I've picked up twice the meteor numbers..... so question. Does anyone else have similar numbers or have I just got some more tweaking to do on my detection thresholds? (poss set too low and getting too many false positives.)

Here the Colorgramme from two stations in my town.
My highest number on June 8th was 129 at 12 UTC which is 6 UTC in UK. ON june 9th I had 167 at 12 UTC and today at 13 UTC I had 135.
SO more or less your numbers seem to be OK. If you campare the two station inmy town the explanation for differing numbers is that the Zapata station is in Downtown 80 meters less height over Sea level then mine. His station has always captured about 50 to 60% of what I capture. Looks like the difference in height is the cause which means less RFI in my case. In order that his stations gets echoes we had to use a band pass filter. Before the band pass filter he did get zero echoes ...

That's great results Les, they do look similar to Rainer automated is always the way to go, more mistakes happen if you do manual and life is short

Good data, guys.
To add to the party, here are my data (presented in yet another format).
Spanning May 22nd to July 2nd, the official peak for this meteor shower is June 7th yet our data (Rainer) show there's maybe more activity 9th/10th. I guess the peak varies according to the structure of the debris cloud.

Nothing secret, indeed. But it reinforces my point that more events were counted after the so called peak on the 7th. The 8th, 9th and possibly 10th/11th show periods of higher counts. I'm not sure what constitutes the 'official' peak and why it is claimed to be the 7th.

I guess they rely on the fact of mathematical orbit calculations which seem not to take into consideration some possible variables about the movement of the dust stream or whatever other stuff ¿? Universe is vast and unexplored ...
Looking at the RMOB graphs there seems to be a consensus that the Arietids happened one or two days later ...
Who knows. Just playing around with ideas.

Sorry for delay in posting back to your comparison results. Been getting strange "timeout" issues when trying to connect to the forum...... and now it suddenly works perfectly. Technology..... love it eh?!!!!
Anyhow.... thanks to all as it seems my results are fairly in line with the more seasoned observers amongst you and my heat spots do seem to tally with Stu's peaks of the 7th and 8th nicely, so happy bunny.
Just got to get it working on my laptop now so I can run things 24/7. For some weird reason, the laptop cuts off the generated PNG's from the Echoes programme halfway through the 22h line, so all below..... inc the totals....is lost. May well have to bite the bullet and run it off the higher resolution desktop monitor..... unless one of you mages have come across this and have an answer.

An update up to June 28th.
(Les, I use a dedicated PC running in my 'Man Cave' for this and my magnetometer. I've had no issues with timeouts or anything).
Anyhow, here are my data. The Arietids run from May 22 to July 2nd, so we're still in the stream of debris. The peak, according to the officials, is on June 7th, although it looks like there is a little more activity on the 10th. Anyhow.....
